Getting your home ready to sell is the first and most important part of the process. And keeping it in that condition is the difference between selling quickly and having one of “those” houses.
Maybe your house is in perfect shape, will appeal to lots of people, and you don't need a thing to get it sold, aside from a marketing plan and a "for-sale" sign in the front yard. But, if you're like most people, you've accummulated a bunch of stuff over the years. You've painted the walls colors you liked (or maybe you never got around to painting over the aqua shade that looked so much different on the paint chip).
Some basics: Strip the walls of paper, and paint them netural colors (as in a warm tan or khaki). Box up the knick knacks and clear away the clutter. If you don't plan on moving it with you, get rid of it.
